Well, it’s been a long time since I have posted anything related to my cars and working on them. I have a silver manual e46 with 265k miles on it I bought as a project car. I had to drive this for the past month while my daily was at the dealer.

Just wanting to know what it was like working on a German car. I have done quite a bit on it I will detail at a later time. I’ve had quite a bit of frustrating fun working on this one. I can’t wait to detail all my suffering. So in the mean time, after the bump rate my flex disc while I wait for my locking nuts to arrive.

Dude, just because it’s called a flex disc doesn’t mean you can r&r it with Flex Seal.

That looks like the clutch that came out of my E39 before I bought it.

gi u bo party!
peep the ‘shaft center bearing while you’re under there if you haven’t already. It’s a pretty reasonable “while you’re in there” if you’ve already got the car up for the gi u bo, and they’re also known for going kaput

That’s a lot of damage!
“ ... to prove the power of flex seal, we cut a boat in half!”
Guy in audience: “ So now you glue it back together with flexseal?”
Adman:"Nope, weren't you listening? I said we cut a boat in half to prove the power of flexseal, bane of all small boats!"

I might actually try it if they gave me a can.

I am afraid of looking at the clutch. But it’s still catching, so let sleeping dogs lie.

Yes sir, I checked it and it had no play. I was just happy having a 323i. Because for some reason, they decided to not cover up the flex joint.

They would probably nope out on liability, but never hurts to ask.
